Trial2 World Champion Sondre Haga completes the Three Kings

Newly crowned Trial2 World Champion Sondre Haga will join TrialGP World Champion Toni Bou and Trial3 World Champion Harry Hemingway to complete the perfect ‘Three Kings’ at the forthcoming DL12 Indoor Trial on Saturday 7th January at the Utilita Arena Sheffield. The twenty-three-year-old Norwegian rider had to hold his nerve at the closing round of the 2022 series to secure his much-deserved title in what is the most competitive class in the FIM Trial World Championship. Never have all three World Champions from their respective classes lined up together in an indoor competition, making it yet another World first for the Yorkshire event.

Delighted to be welcoming Haga to his maiden indoor trial early next year, Dougie Lampkin commented: “Sondre is one of the hardest working riders in the paddock and totally deserves to be World Champion. Our plan was always to invite the Trial2 and Trial3 winners along with the TrialGP Champion to create something unique. Having watched Haga in action at the Barcelona indoor trial earlier this year, he has certainly got what it takes to compete amongst the best and should definitely be competing for a place in the final.”

Pleased to have been invited by Dougie, Sondre said: “It is a real honour to have been selected to ride in the first ever DL12 Indoor Trial against some great riders and alongside two other current World Champions. With the outdoor season now over, I have got some indoor events coming up which will be great preparation for my first visit to Sheffield. Plus, I will be training hard over the winter to make sure I am ready for the opening event of 2023.”
